Jayalalitaa ditching the third front by surreptitiously allowing her party MPs and MLAs to vote in the Presidential elections and pretending that she is not aware of it is not a strange thing to Indian politics. We know that we have rotten fish in our compound.

Had Ms. Jayalalithaa been alive, would she have stayed in Jail? Or would she have managed somehow? This is a billion dollar question.
