WEST BENGAL The 34 years continuous rule of Communist Party of India (Marxist) has at last been broken. We need not worry about the loss of C.P.M. A party which continuously wins without 'break' may not learn lessons from the Electorate. It is high time that C.P.M. started some penitence for its lapses. We should worry about the future of the people of West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee's rule. Leave aside her emotionproneness and flamboyance. She has no philosophy or principles of economics a la the other regional political parties in other States. She may , probably, go the Mayavati way. | KERALA The people of Kerala have shown that every five years they change the ruler. This willingness to change incumbent rulers keeps the rulers on their tenterhooks. |
We cannot separate politics from the lives of citizens. Reason: It continuously improves or worsens our lives. Not knowing this, we sometimes start blaming fate for our misfortunes. We shall be throwing our burden on other citizens to improve our lot, if we ignore the gory politics surrounding us.
