The Chief Minister of the State of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, died in an accident of a helicopter. He mis-adventured on the chopper on a rainy day through the forest terrain of Nallamala Hills. The choppter took 18 km. east away from the normal route and hit a hill-slope called "Rudra Kodu".
The Congress politicians started clammering for anointing of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, the deceased leader's son, as the new Chief Minister of the State. The Congress Party in the State does not have a history of dynastic rule. The Congress at All India letter has only dynastic successions, except for brief interruptions. (The dynasty: Motilal Nehru, his son Jawaharlal Nehru, his daughter Indira Gandhi, her elder son Rajiv Gandhi, his wife Sonia Gandhi, their son Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress High Command is peeved at the audacity and persistence of Jagan's supporters in their demand for the coronation of the heir apparent, in spite of the party's record of dynastic rule.
Every politician in Andhra Pradesh pledges his allegiance, loyalty and obedience to Sonia Gandhi.
